About the Program
Elevate your culinary skills with flexible courses designed for both casual learners and aspiring professionals.
Program Options:
- Individual Credits: Earn secondary school elective credits toward your OSSD. Each course runs for approximately 7.5 weeks, following our standard day-class schedule.
- Culinary Arts Certificate: Complete an affordable, comprehensive package consisting of any 4 culinary courses plus 2 Co-op credits at a local work placement.
Culinary Arts at St. Louis includes:
- Practical Kitchen Skills: Develop essential techniques in cooking and baking, from proper knife handling to preparing recipes from scratch.
- Commercial Experience: Get comfortable using professional-grade equipment and learning how a commercial kitchen operates safely and efficiently.
- Food Safety: As part of our courses, students can earn their Food Handler Certificate, an essential credential for both personal knowledge and employment.
- Versatile Knowledge: Gain insights into menu planning, nutrition, and the teamwork required to succeed in a kitchen environment.

Class Times
The daily schedule consists of morning classes from 8:45 am to 11:45 am, followed by lunch from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm, and concludes with afternoon classes from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
