Gr.7-10 Academic Support
St. Louis Adult and Continuing Education Centres highlights the “continuing education” side of our programs. We offer programs for all ages and a variety of reading, writing and math programs for youth (Grades 7-10). Ask for extra help offered outside of regular school hours. Programs are offered either before or after school, on Saturday morning, or during the summer. These programs will help your child with increased confidence, attention and skills-based instruction. Most importantly, help your child face current challenges in school and prepare them for next grade levels.
Saturday Skills Builder

Are you looking for 2 weeks of fun learning that will help your child at their grade level? Register students currently enrolled in Grades 6, 7 or 8 or entering Grades 7, 8 and 9. To be able to register, students must be currently attending a publicly-funded school in Waterloo Region.
Get a HeadStart to Grade 9
HeadStart is open to Grade 8 students going into Grade 9 and attending one of our five Catholic Secondary Schools in September.
If your child currently attends a private school or is home-schooled, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to find our how they can enrol. HeadStart is an optional, summer academic preparation program. It is just one of the many ways our school board supports and invites students to “Experience the Difference” of a Catholic school. Register early for HeadStart! It has become wildly popular in recent years and we will have a limited enrollment capacity.
Note: Your child’s registration into high school does not automatically enrol your child in this summer program.
