Get Ready Riverhawks – Summer Registration

Who may register for Get Ready Riverhawks?

Students who are coming from any public school system including the WCDSB, any private school, homeschooled or have recently moved / will move to the Region AND are enrolled at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School.

Registration opens March 24, 2026.

Students and Teachers

*Please do not complete the registration forms for yourself or your students.*

Registration requires parent permission

and therefore parents should complete the registration form using their email address as the point of contact.

Attend on Assigned Days

When enrolling in this summer program, commitment to attend on assigned grade-specific days ensures the greatest benefit and the least disruption within this time-limited program.

Gr. 10 Summer Orientation Crew (SOC)

Monday, August 24 & Tuesday, August 25, 2026

8:30am-3:00pm (lunch 11:30am-12:00pm)

(some Grade 10 students may qualify for volunteer opportunities on August 26 & 27)

Gr. 9 HeadStart

Locations for all Programs

Notre Dame school is unlikely to be completed for students to safely enter during the Get Ready Riverhawks week, however, a stellar orientation and support program that will build familiarity, confidence and community with mix of academic readiness and social connections before school begins.

Nearby Catholic Elementary School, Saint John Paul II, 75 Pebblecreek Drive, Kitchener will be the primary host location for  all Notre Dame grade-specific summer programs listed above.  Safe learning opportunities are imbedded into each program for students to walk to and from the Notre Dame site, 20 Woolner Trail, Kitchener, as well as some outdoor activities onsite.  No Student Transportation will be provided to / from either school location.

Important Notes

  • This summer program is voluntary and therefore is not part of the registration process for entering Noter Dame Catholic Secondary Schools (CSS). Only students registered at Noter Dame CSS will be accepted into the Get Ready Riverhawks program.
  • Parent Permission is required for students to participate in this program. Only Parents should register their child for Get Ready Riverhawks
  • Students should NOT be registering themselves
  • Transportation to and from school is NOT provided for this summer program.
  • If your child decides to enrol in a different high school or in another system, please notify BOTH Principal Modolo AND stlouis@wcdsb.ca
