Requirements

Summer Online Credit Courses offered at St. Louis are available to WCDSB students or any other student who resides in Waterloo Region.
There is a specific registration process to complete as part of enrolment in summer online credit courses, especially if you are NEW to taking credit courses through St. Louis.

Prerequisite courses are expected as a condition of enrollment.

• Secondary School Transcript or Credit Counselling Summary from your current Guidance Counsellor.
• Any students who are not currently enrolled at a WCDSB School must meet the ID Requirements.
• Students who wish to earn secondary school credits and previously attended or are currently attending ESL/LINC classes must provide verification of Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) 6 in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Important Notes for Summer Online Students

• ALL course content, assignments and exam will be online (ONLINE classes are self-directed with no formalized class time or synchronous lessons, however daily login is required to keep up with the pace of learning).
• Students can expect that their online course will require a minimum of 6 hours of schooling each day.
• Log-in is expected on the first day of class.
• Students should log in each day to see news from the teacher, to stay on top of readings and to complete assignments on their due dates. Students must be online for final exams on scheduled dates and times.
• Vacation or work should be scheduled outside of summer school. Assessment deadlines and exams will not be rescheduled.
• Summer Online courses are paid for by the Ministry of Education and there is no cost to students. Students are responsible for any and all printing costs.
